Stillwater, Minn. (March 6, 2025) -- This spring, the Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter will be holding its annual, must-attend Spring traditions. While being serenaded by Minnesota’s most sought-after strolling accordionists–such as Mike Opitz, Bill Koncar, and Dan Turpening–mouthwatering fare served in a traditional lodge-like restaurant crowns Stillwater’s Spring culinary sceene.
Join with the community at the Gasthaus on Aschermittwochen (Ash Wednesday, March 5th) and every Friday during Lent thru and including Karfreitag (Good Friday, April 18th). Our Lenten fish special is three healthy pieces of Kabeljau (cod) served alongside Kartoffelbrei (mashed potatoes) and Krautsalat (coleslaw).
Make sure to get your reservations to eat the best corned beef and cabbage in Minnesota on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. (We will be closed on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17th.) This event was so sought after last year, Gasthaus will be expanding this limited-a-time, once-a-year delight to two days in 2025: Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th.
The all-you-can-eat Mother’s Day Buffet returns on on Sunday, May 11, 2025, with the first seating at 10:00am and the final seating at 2:30pm. Reservations with your family are all but required as we will be limiting our seatings this year to 400 people. (We will be closing after the brunch buffet so we workers of the Gasthaus can spend time with our mothers after we serve you and yours.)
